As the temperature rises it's time to explore the delightful world of summer coffee recipes. Whether you're a fan of cold brew or prefer refreshing iced coffee, we have you covered.. Get ready to sip on some cool coffee goodness!

Cold Brew Coffee: Smooth and Chilled Indulgence

There's something incredibly satisfying about a smooth and chilled cup of cold brew coffee. Here's a simple recipe to make your own cold brew at home:


  • 12.5g of coarsely ground Moyee Coffee (we recommend: Double Blend)
  • For every
  • 100ml of cold, filtered water


  1. Add the ground coffee to the French Press.
  2. Pour the cold, filtered water over the coffee grounds.
  3. Gently stir the mixture to ensure all the grounds are saturated.
  4. Place the plunger lid on top of the French Press but do not press it down.
  5. Let the coffee steep in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours.
  6. After the steeping time is complete, slowly press down the plunger to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid.
  7. Pour the cold brew into a separate container for storage.
  8. Pour your cold brew over ice and enjoy the smooth and refreshing taste of homemade French press cold brew!

Extra Tips:

Use a coarse grind size for the coffee to prevent sediment from passing through the mesh filter of the French press.

Adjust the steeping time to suit your taste preferences. Longer steeping times will result in a stronger and bolder flavour.

Experiment with the coffee-to-water ratio to find the desired strength of your cold brew.

Store the cold brew concentrate in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Iced Coffee: Quick and Customizable

For those who enjoy a bolder flavour profile with a touch of ice, iced coffee is the way to go. Here's a versatile recipe that allows you to experiment with different brewing methods:


  • Moyee coffee (Triple or Dark roast) suitable for your chosen brewing method
  • Ice cubes
  • Milk or alternative milk (optional)
  • Sweetener of choice (optional)


Brew your coffee using one of the following methods:

French Press:

  1. Add 20g coffee grounds to your French press
  2. Pour 300ml of hot water
  3. Place the lid/plunger on the French Press and allow the coffee to steep for 4 minutes
  4. After 4 minutes, take the lid off and stir
  5. Use two spoons to scoop out any foam that has formed on the surface of the coffee
  6. Let it extract another 5 mins
  7. Slowly push down the plunger
  8. Press down the plunger slowly
  9. Pour your brewed coffee over ice, add any milk and/or sweetener and enjoy!

Drip Pour Over:

  1. Rinse the filter paper with cold water
  2. Put the ice cubes in a pitcher and set the pour over brewer on top
  3. Pour 32g of ground coffee and pour 100g of hot water in a circular motion into the brewer (bloom it for 45 seconds)
  4. Pour the rest of hot water into the brewer
  5. Stir well to make coffee cold and enjoy!

Moka Pot:

  1. Fill the bottom chamber with water
  2. Add coffee grounds to the filter basket
  3. Assemble the Moka pot, and place it on the stove until the brewed coffee fills the top chamber.
  4. Once your coffee is brewed, let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the cooled coffee over the ice.
  6. Add milk or alternative milk if desired, and sweeten to taste.
  7. Give it a gentle stir and enjoy your personalised iced coffee creation!

Home Brewing Tips:

Grind your coffee beans just before brewing for maximum freshness and flavor.

Experiment with the coffee-to-water ratio to find your preferred strength.

Use high-quality, filtered water to enhance the taste of your brew.

Adjust the brewing time and temperature according to your preference.

Consider adding flavour variations such as vanilla extract, cinnamon, or a dash of chocolate syrup to your iced coffee for an extra twist.

  • Moyee coffee (espresso or strong brewed coffee)
  • 1 scoop of your favorite ice cream flavor (we recommend vanilla)
  • Whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or caramel sauce (optional toppings)


  1. Brew a shot of espresso or prepare a strong cup of FairChain coffee using your preferred brewing method.
  2. Allow the coffee to cool to room temperature.
  3. Scoop your favorite ice cream flavor into a tall glass or mug.
  4. Pour the cooled coffee over the ice cream, allowing it to mingle with the creamy goodness.
  5. Stir gently to combine the coffee and ice cream.
  6. Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a drizzle of caramel sauce for an extra touch of decadence.
  7. Grab a spoon, sip, and savor the heavenly blend of coffee and ice cream.
