Breaking the Mould: Moyee's Mission to Rewrite the Rules of Coffee Ownership

It's time for some straight talk about the coffee industry! Grab your favourite Moyee blend and settle in, because we're about to discuss the challenges that drive our mission.

Let's be candid for a moment. Moyee's existence in this industry is remarkable. We're the underdog, taking on the giants of Big Coffee with their enormous marketing budgets and entrenched supply chains. But here's the important part: we're working on changing the game.

The Reality of Global Poverty

You might have heard that global poverty is getting better. While that's partly true, the big picture isn't so simple. Since 1960, rich countries have gotten much richer compared to poor ones. Today, more than half the world lives on less than $5 a day. At the same time, just eight people have as much money as the poorest half of the world. Pretty crazy, right?

Here's the thing: poverty doesn't just happen on its own. It's created by the way our world works. Countries often try to explain why some people are rich and others are poor. But when a handful of people have more money than billions of others, that's hard to explain away. That's why at Moyee, we're trying to change things. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at a good life.

Moyee's Approach: Growth with Purpose

So, what's our strategy? We aim to grow, and grow significantly. Not for profit's sake, but because only through scale can we demonstrate that there's a better way to do business.

We're consulting with leading economists and thinkers to design a shareholder structure that distributes wealth more equitably across our entire chain – from the farmers who grow our beans to the consumers who enjoy our coffee.

Our FairChain model aims to keep 50% of the coffee value in origin countries. We've set up roasting facilities in Ethiopia and Kenya, and we pay farmers a Living Income Reference Price. We're also tackling environmental challenges through our 1 Million Tree Revolution and low-carbon farming initiatives in Kenya.

We use blockchain technology for radical transparency in our supply chain, allowing you to trace your coffee from bean to cup. Our goal is to turn farmers into entrepreneurs, and we're doing this through data-driven experiments and adaptable programs.

Optimism for the Future

Despite the challenges, we remain optimistic. We believe in human potential and our collective ability to create positive change. We believe we can shape a better future, and with your support, we will.

Every time you choose Moyee, you're supporting a vision for a more equitable world. You're choosing an alternative to the status quo and investing in a future where everyone gets a fair opportunity.
