Hear the roar of Lion Hills - one of our favourite coffee farmers is back with the next edition of Lion Hills Microlot!
Grown high in the hills of Nandi County by third-generation farmer Edward Barngetuny, this microlot carries a family story that goes back more than a century.
Edward’s ancestors were known as lion tamers. Today, Edward is taming something just as unpredictable: coffee. With patience, experimentation, and a lot of curiosity, he produced this limited microlot using a careful honey processing method, leaving part of the cherry’s natural sugars on the bean to enhance sweetness and mouthfeel.
The result? A bright and silky cup with notes of warm honey, ripe stone fruit, caramelised sugar, apricot, gentle citrus, bright yet smooth acidity, silky body, and a clean sweet finish.
