The Nuova Simonelli Appia Life XT is the full-size, high-volume version of one of the world's most trusted commercial espresso machines. Nuova Simonelli has been building commercial espresso equipment in Italy since 1936, and the Appia Life represents the latest evolution of a machine with decades of proven performance in some of the world's most demanding café environments. The XT designation marks the premium digital tier of the range — adding a TFT digital display, LED barista working lights, programmable pre-infusion, remote control capability, and advanced machine diagnostics to the already capable Appia Life platform.
At the core of the Appia Life XT is an 11-litre boiler — the largest in the Appia Life range — capable of sustaining up to 250 drinks per day across two groups without performance degradation. The Soft Infusion System (SIS) pre-wets the coffee puck at low pressure before full extraction begins, promoting even saturation, reducing channelling, and delivering a more balanced, consistent cup. Automatic backflushing keeps the group heads in consistently clean condition, reducing maintenance burden during busy service.
The TFT Digital Display — exclusive to the XT series — gives baristas and café managers direct access to programmable espresso dosages, pre-infusion settings, brightness controls, on/off scheduling, shot counters, and multiple maintenance and diagnostic functions. This level of digital control, combined with the remote control feature, makes the Appia Life XT well suited to multi-site operations and venues where the machine operator is not always a specialist barista.
The Appia Life series also carries genuine environmental credentials: DRYTEX thermal insulation technology reduces energy consumption by 13% compared to the Appia II, and the overall environmental impact is 20% lower.
