This machine requires a trained barista to operate. For self-serve office coffee without a dedicated operator, see the Jura bean-to-cup range.

The Victoria Arduino Black Eagle Maverick is the most advanced commercial espresso machine the company has ever produced — and the most sustainable. Victoria Arduino has been crafting espresso machines in Italy since 1905, and the Black Eagle has been the brand's flagship for years. The Maverick is its most significant evolution: every system redesigned, every component optimised, every watt accounted for.
The energy story is remarkable. The Maverick uses 43% less energy than its predecessor, the Black Eagle VA388. This is achieved through five distinct innovations working together: T3 Genius technology (37% more energy-efficient boilers), a new vacuum-insulated steam boiler that retains heat and pressure more efficiently, the patented TERS system (Temperature Energy Recovery System) which harvests waste water heat to preheat incoming water, Eco Mode which automatically reduces boiler temperatures during idle periods, and an insulated front panel that reduces heat loss into the working environment.
The extraction technology is equally advanced. Gravitech gravimetric technology reads the weight of the coffee in the cup directly from the machine's display, giving baristas real-time weight feedback for consistent, repeatable extraction. PB Tech (Pulse Brew) uses precisely timed water pulses to give the coffee cake room to expand during extraction — avoiding over-extraction and enhancing aroma, texture, and flavour. PureBrew Technology opens up extraction beyond espresso: filter-style coffee, tea, and infusions for cocktail and mocktail ingredients are all possible from the same machine.
The design has been refined too — a lower profile for better counter visibility and barista-to-customer interaction, a new touchscreen and group display for intuitive control, improved ergonomics on the stainless steel filter holders, and a redesigned drip tray made from sustainable materials. Available in four colourways: Black, Stone Blue, Steel, and White.
T3 Genius is the evolution of Victoria Arduino's T3 triple-thermoblock technology. It delivers the same precision temperature control across every group head and steam circuit, while using 37% less energy through reduced boiler volume, optimised thermal mass, improved electronics, and a system that channels excess energy to preheat incoming water.
The patented Temperature Energy Recovery System (TERS) captures the heat from waste water — normally lost — and uses it to preheat the incoming fresh water supply. This alone saves 8% of total machine energy consumption. It is a closed-loop efficiency system that runs invisibly without any operator involvement.
Gravitech is Victoria Arduino's gravimetric extraction system. It reads the weight of the coffee in the cup directly from the group display in real time, allowing baristas to set a target output weight and achieve consistent extraction ratios shot after shot. For cafés serving multiple baristas across shifts, Gravitech removes one of the most common sources of inconsistency.
PB Tech uses a series of precisely timed water pulses during extraction to give the coffee puck room to expand before full pressure is applied. This reduces channelling, avoids over-extraction, and produces a more balanced, aromatic cup — particularly effective with single origin coffees and lighter roasts. It is activated with a simple on/off switch; the machine manages the rest automatically.
PureBrew extracts coffee without pressure — producing a filter-style beverage, or extracting tea and botanicals for cocktail and mocktail ingredients. It opens up an entirely new drinks menu from the same machine, without any additional equipment. For cafés that want to expand into speciality filter coffee or premium non-alcoholic cocktail ingredients, PureBrew is a significant commercial opportunity.
The steam boiler is now insulated using vacuum technology — the same principle as a thermos flask. This dramatically reduces heat loss, maintains pressure more efficiently, and delivers reliable steam output with lower energy consumption. The insulated front panel also reduces heat radiated into the barista's working environment, improving comfort during long service periods

The Black Eagle Maverick uses 43% less energy than its predecessor. Moyee FairChain coffee is roasted at origin in Ethiopia and Kenya, B Corp certified, and built on a supply chain that pays farmers a living income. Put them together and you have something genuinely rare: a café setup where both the machine and the coffee stand for something beyond the cup.
For cafés, restaurants, and hotels with sustainability commitments, environmental targets, or a customer base that cares where their coffee comes from — this is the combination that delivers.
