This machine requires a trained barista to operate. For self-serve office coffee solutions with no operator required, see the Jura bean-to-cup range. For a more accessible entry point into the La Marzocco commercial range, see the Linea Classic.

The La Marzocco Linea PB is named after Piero Bambi — the engineer who spent his career perfecting the Linea — and it represents the first comprehensive update to the machine in nearly 25 years. Everything that made the Linea Classic the benchmark of the specialty coffee world is here: the dual stainless steel boilers, the saturated group heads, the legendary thermal stability, the polished stainless body handcrafted in Florence. What the PB adds is a generation of modern controls designed specifically for the way high-volume, specialty-focused cafés actually work.
The front panel digital display gives baristas direct control over boiler temperatures, shot volumes, hot water dosing, and machine diagnostics without removing panels or calling an engineer. Eco Mode automatically reduces boiler temperatures during idle periods — cutting energy costs without affecting performance when service resumes. Auto-backflush runs a cleaning cycle each time a portafilter is removed, keeping the group heads clean throughout the busiest shifts.
The Piero Group Caps incorporate flowmeters directly in the group head for enhanced volumetric accuracy — a technical refinement that delivers more consistent extraction at high volume. Ruby flow restrictors protect against scale build-up and erosion over the machine's lifespan.
The optional ABR (Auto Brew Ratio) version adds integrated drip tray scales. ABR allows the barista to set a target output weight and the machine stops extraction automatically when that weight is reached — removing one of the most common sources of inconsistency in high-volume espresso service. For cafés with multiple baristas across shifts, or operations building a precision coffee programme, ABR is a significant upgrade.
