BACKGROUND STORY
This coffee is from Tinderet Nandi County/ Nandi Hills from one of our favourite, dedicated and committed farmers Edward Barngetuny.
Nandi county, also known as the cradle land of Kenyan running, is located in a highland area of lush green rolling hills at the edge of theGreat Rift Valley in the southwestern part of Kenya.
The area is also a home to many world-renowned athletes, including Kipchoge Keino, Wilson Kipketer, Janeth Jepkosgei, Augustine Choge, Wilfred Bungei, Henry Rono and Mike Boit.
Nandi Hills has a cool and wet climate with two rainy seasons during the equinoxes. Temperatures vary between 18 °C and 24 °C which, coupled with the rich volcanic soils, make the area ideal for growing coffee and tea.
After a series of trials and guidance from our team members, Edward is proudly introducing yet another Microlot that is black honey processed with strawberry, brown sugar and cherry flavours.
